Storyhouse is a library, cinema, community space and theatre in Chester. With their upcoming Storyhouse Originals season, They needed identities for two plays. The Suicide — a black Russian comedy, and Brewster's Millions – a feel-good disco musical about winning the lottery. I worked on the concept generation on this project while working at Uniform (now Continuous).
For The Suicide I drew inspiration from 'Carry-On' posters, using playful typography to show the comedy of the play, in contrast to its title
Using 'Happy Go Lucky' as a reference for Brewster’s, I used bright colours and casino imagery to reflect the rags-to-riches story and feel-good music.
